The Rise of Midweek Weddings: Budget-Friendly or Just Bizarre?

Wedding Planning • Wedding Date The Rise of Midweek Weddings: Budget-Friendly or Just Bizarre? February 9, 2024 | By Grachelle Gregorio-Andoy Weddings are a magical celebration of love and commitment, but they can also be a major drain on your bank account. From the venue to the catering to the dress, the costs can quickly add up, leaving many couples feeling overwhelmed. That’s why more and more couples are considering midweek weddings as a budget-friendly alternative. But are these unconventional wedding dates truly a money-saving solution, or are they just plain bizarre? The Appeal of Midweek Weddings Choosing a wedding date is no easy task. There are so many factors to consider, from the availability of your desired venue to the schedules of your closest family and friends. But if you’re open to the idea of a midweek wedding, you may find that it offers some unexpected benefits.   First and foremost, midweek weddings are often significantly cheaper than their weekend counterparts. Many venues and vendors offer discounted rates for weddings that take place on a Monday through Thursday. This can help you stretch your wedding budget further and allocate more funds to other important aspects of your big day, like the food or the entertainment.   Additionally, midweek weddings tend to have more availability at popular venues. If you have your heart set on a specific location but find that it’s booked solid for weekend dates, a midweek wedding may be your ticket to securing that dream venue. Plus, with fewer weddings taking place during the week, you’ll have more personalized attention from your vendors and a better chance of getting the exact wedding you envision. The Downsides of Midweek Weddings While midweek weddings can be a budget-friendly option, they do come with their fair share of challenges. One of the biggest hurdles is the potential inconvenience for your guests. Most people have work and other commitments during the week, making it difficult for them to take time off to attend a wedding.   Another consideration is the logistics of planning a midweek wedding. From coordinating schedules with vendors to ensuring that all necessary preparations are made on time, the planning process can be more complex and time-consuming. If you’re someone who prefers a stress-free wedding planning experience, a midweek wedding may not be the best choice for you. Is a Midweek Wedding Right for You? Ultimately, the decision to have a midweek wedding boils down to your personal preferences and priorities. If you’re on a tight budget and willing to navigate the potential challenges, a midweek wedding can be a fantastic way to save money without sacrificing your dream wedding.   However, if having all of your loved ones present on your special day is a top priority, a weekend wedding may be the better option. While it may come with a higher price tag, it ensures that more of your guests will be able to attend and celebrate with you.   It’s also worth considering the season and time of year when choosing a wedding date. If you’re planning a destination wedding or have guests traveling from far and wide, a midweek wedding may make it more difficult for them to attend. On the other hand, if most of your guests are local, a midweek wedding could be a fun and unique experience for everyone. In Conclusion So, are midweek weddings budget-friendly or just bizarre? The answer is, it depends. They can be a great way to save money and secure your dream venue, but they may also pose challenges for your guests and require extra planning on your part. Ultimately, the decision should be based on your personal circumstances and what matters most to you on your wedding day.   Remember, your wedding is a reflection of your love and commitment, regardless of the day of the week you choose to celebrate it. So, whether you opt for a traditional Saturday wedding or a midweek affair, what truly matters is the joy and happiness you share with your partner and loved ones. For Better Or Worse; Rain or Shine

Real Weddings • Mindanao For Better Or Worse; Rain Or Shine By Grachelle Gregorio Mark and Carrie’s special day was an enchanting combination of surprises and unbreakable love. While they had envisioned an idyllic outdoor ceremony in the expansive gardens of Sea La Vie Beach House, fate had other plans: a gentle rain blessed their union. But love has no time, and in the warm embrace of this Tuscan-inspired place, their hearts found their eternal home, forever united in a story as unique as their love. The ceremony… The Tuscanian-inspired ambiance mixed with a touch of Mediterranean romance. Before the sudden outpour, the picturesque Sea La Vie Beach House’s open garden awaited, with N & M Creations‘  Tuscan-inspired setup and a promise of an outdoor ceremony under the open sky. The combination of fresh white gerbera and alstroemeria adorning both sides of the aisle, the sleek geometric structures at the altar, and the elegant Tiffany chairs transformed the open garden into a visual masterpiece of Mark and Carrie’s intimate union. Despite the rain, Carrie is still beaming with happiness. The unexpected downpour gracefully transitioned their ceremony from the open garden to the cozy embrace of the reception hall. The reception… “Chateau chic” carried over into the reception area. Mark and Carrie seamlessly took their “I dos” and the party inside Sea La Vie’s Hall with all their loved ones and friends. This hall is like the definition of posh in the town. It’s got this cool, classic vibe with sleek lines and a timeless look that never goes out of style.   Inside, you can soak up the party energy and still feel like you’re hanging out with your crew. It’s like the go-to spot for epic celebrations that are cozy but super fun! The wedding dress… Carrie wore a  masterpiece by Alma Mae Roa, showcasing elegance and grace. Featuring a Crêpe bodice with bateau neckline, full length sleeves, and a full skirt, this princess-inspired gown is elegant, magnificent, and beautifully polished.  It is accentuated with a cute bow belt, giving emphasis on Carrie’s waist. Forever Daddy’s girl… Carrie’s bouquet was like something out of a magical storybook. It had these dreamy cream white roses and dried white gypsophilia,  like little stars sprinkled among the flowers.   But here’s where it gets even cooler: right in the middle of all those gorgeous blooms was a locket. And inside that locket? A photo of Carrie’s dad, with the biggest, warmest smile you can imagine, ensuring he walks her down the aisle.   Putting her dad’s picture in there wasn’t just for show. It was like keeping him close, a secret way of saying, “Hey, Dad, you’re still a huge part of my big day.” Every step down the aisle was like a little dance with her dad in her heart. More bridal deets… Breaking the conventional… Mark decided to break away from the traditional white or black suit. Instead, he embraced the trend of neutral suits, with its soft beige hue setting the tone for a wedding that was all about understated elegance.   With delicate blooms and subtle greenery, the boutonniere added a touch of natural charm to his ensemble. It was the little detail that tied his entire look together. Other posh details that we love… More of the photos captured by Harana, the wedding wizards behind the scenes!
